Enterprise Vault (EV) Exchange Mailbox Archiving Targets in a Database Availability Group (DAG)
In this example, there are two Exchange Servers, with two Exchange databases, and one DAG. (These screenshots are from Exchange 2010, though it’s the same principal for Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2016)
-In EV, each Exchange Server is targeted; and there is an Archiving task for each Exchange Server.
-Each archiving task uses an EV System Mailbox that is mounted on the respective database (not to be confused with the Vault Service Account mailbox, which there is one of)
-You can move users back and forth and run the Provisioning Task in EV, and then test a Synchronization for the respective Mailbox Archiving Task.
